Alyssa Schorr

Alyssa is an alumni of Woodbury Dance Center who danced as a competitor, and is proud to continue teaching dance with the WDC family. She has over 15 years experience teaching and working with groups of all ages in styles of musical theater, tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop and lyrical dance. Her choreography and routines have also received many awards in several regional and national competitions. Additionally, she has staged and choreographed for show choirs and high school theater productions in town, as well as performing with UWRF Dance Theater and recently with The Phipps Dance Theater. Outside of dance, Alyssa graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Dance Education and has performed with the college summer theatre program and with local groups in town. She has staged, choreographed and performed with Ashland Productions, Woodbury Community Theater, Open Door Community Theater, and Aspire Music Academy. One of her favorite ways of sharing dance is through storytelling and musical theater dance. With her knowledge and experience, she hopes to improve your student’s technique, enhance their performance quality, and experience the joy and art of dance.
