Competition Line - Tuition & Payment 2021-2022

Please note that the tuition amounts listed below are for September through May only. August tuition may be a different amount and is listed on the August class schedule. Rehearsal fees for nationals in June will need to be paid separately.
Babies Tuition
September - May- Saturday optional class tuition would be additional.
- Competition Fees of approximately $240 (covers two regional competitions) will be due February 1st.
- Costume Fees of $200 will be due November 1st. (Competition shoes and tights will need to be purchased separately)
Minis Tuition
September - May- Saturday optional class tuition would be additional.
- Competition Fees of approximately $360 (covers three regional competitions and one national competition) will be due February 1st. National competition fees of approximately $130 will be due in May.
- Costume Fees of $300 will be due November 1st. (Competition shoes and tights will need to be purchased separately)
Pee Wees Tuition
September - May- Competition Fees of approximately $360 (covers three regional competitions) will be due February 1st. National competition fees of approximately $140 will be due in May.
- Costume Fees of $350 will be due November 1st. (Competition shoes and tights will need to be purchased separately)
Petite Team Tuition

Junior Team Tuition
September - May- Comp Fees of approximately $540 (include 3 regionals) due February 1st. National competition fees of approximately $200 will be due in May.

Performance, Teams and Tiny Teams (Babies, Minis, PeeWees) will have one costume fee due in November and one competition fee charge due in February and May. Those amounts are listed above (on web page) for each Team. Please let us know if you have any questions. Costume fees do not include shoes, tights, make up and sometimes additional accessories such as fake hairpieces.
Media fees — Some competitions charge a separate media fee and dancers/families will then receive all photos and videos of WDC routines after the event. Media fees may be $20-$40 per event where applicable.

Company lines will have their competition, convention, choreography and costume fees billed separately throughout the season. Please see additional information below regarding competition fees.
Company Competition fees
Groups/Lines — approximately $60-$75 per routine per event
Media fees — Some competitions charge a separate media fee and dancers/families will then receive all photos and videos of WDC routines after the event. Media fees may be $20-$40 per event where applicable.
Competition/Media fees will be due approximately 60 days prior to each event and will be billed separately for each event. An administration fee is added to competition fees for studio time and processing fees in addition to staff compensation for events.
Conventions
Tuition/Fee for each convention will be billed separately approximately 60 days prior. An administration fee is added to convention fees for studio time and processing fees in addition to staff compensation for events. Convention fees will be approximately $300 for weekend events held outside the studio. In-house conventions will be a lower fee.
Company Choreography
Choreography fees will be billed separately for routines who have a guest choreographer or a separate choreography weekend with a WDC instructor. These fees generally apply to select routines for Pre-Teen through Senior Co. Choreography fees may range from $100 to $300 for those routines.
Company Master Classes
In place of Movement Intensive, Junior through Senior Company lines will have master classes scheduled throughout the season starting in August. Tuition/fees for those classes will be covered by a one-time master class fee of $150 due in the fall. Adjustments will be made near the end of the season if needed based on the number of master classes that are scheduled during the season.
Company Costumes
Costume fees will be billed separately during the season based on the costumes chosen for each routine. Company lines will have a costume deposit of $100 per line routine due November 1st with the balance of costumes due after January. Costume totals will likely average $175-$250 per costume for company line routines. Costume fees do not include shoes, tights, make up and sometimes additional accessories such as fake hairpieces.
PERFORMANCE/TEAM/COMPANY — ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Payment requirements – All accounts will be required to have a credit card on file and be signed up for automatic monthly payments for tuition. You will still have the option to pay at the front desk with cash, check or a different card if the payment is received before monthly tuition payments are processed automatically with our online system. Online payments will be automatically processed on the 3rd of each month (August will be processed on dates sent to each group/line) and payments for all other miscellaneous fees (shoes, tights, boutique charges, choreography fees, extra competition fees, etc…) will be processed automatically for you as well. Annual Registration Fee – An annual registration fee will be charged along with the first month’s tuition. Tap/Jazz Line registration fees are $35 per dancer/$30 for each additional sibling in comp lines. Babies registration fee will be $20 or $15 if they are the second dancer in the family. If you have a dancer(s) who has already registered for a recreational class, you have been charged the registration fee for that dancer(s) and will only be charged the remaining amount, if applicable.
Monthly payments are due on the beginning of each month. A statement will be emailed to you if your payment has not been received by the 10th of the month and a $5 late fee will be applied to your account. There is a $20 fee for returned checks.
Discounts will be given for the second, third, fourth, fifth dancer in each family. The tuition amount of the second competition line dancer will be reduced by $10 (non-competition dancers will receive a $5 discount if they are the second child in the family). The tuition amount of the third, fourth, fifth competition dancer, etc… will be reduced by 30%. There will be no discount given on the competition fees, conventions, choreography, etc…
Families who wish to pay the full year’s fees by September 1st will receive a 5% discount on the tuition amount (there is no discount for paying the competition fees or costume fees in advance).
Cancellations
If a dancer drops out of the program after costumes have been ordered, refunds for those costumes will not be given.
If a dancer drops out of the program after choreography has begun, the studio may opt to have another dancer fill in their spot.
Cash awards –
Some competitions award cash prizes for high scores, etc… Any cash awarded to solos, duets or trios will be credited to those families studio accounts. In the case that gift certificates are awarded instead of cash, the amount will be credited back to the studio account for those dancers/families from solos/duets/trios only if they attend that same competition the following season. Cash awarded to groups (small, large or line) will be used by the studio for expenses related to future competitions.
Costumes –
- Costume fees include all of the extra costs for designing, measuring, sizing, ordering, shopping, shipping, sorting, etc…
- Rhinestones – Some of the costumes will need to have rhinestones and/or sequins added to them. Parents will be notified of how and where the stones and/or sequins will need to be attached.
