Avery Zimmerman

Avery grew up dancing at Woodbury Dance Center and spent ten years on competitive teams performing in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, open, and pom. Her time at WDC opened doors to some of her most treasured experiences, such as dancing in a Disney World parade, competing in the Hall of Fame World Series of Dance, and volunteering with Darby’s Dancers. Avery loved being involved at the studio and spent seven years assisting recreational and competitive groups before graduating. During high school, she also choreographed for the Woodbury High School fall and varsity dance teams, as well as the Woodbury Middle School production of The Little Mermaid. Avery is currently a student at the University of St. Thomas and is grateful to continue teaching dance during her college career. She is a strong advocate for the discipline, self-expression, and social skills that dance teaches. She loves nothing more than watching her students learn and grow and is excited to continue sharing her passion for dance with them!
