Mary Swenson

Mary is a positive mentor, leader, and teacher who has been at WDC for over 13 years. She graduated as a Woodbury Dance Center alum and also from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Communications and a minor in Mass Communications. Mary is also the founder and owner of Confidence & Poise, LLC- a pageant training consulting business. She is trained in almost every style of dance and has led countless students to success through recreational and competitive dance. Her pom teams and youth dance groups have gained countless state and national accolades. Mary has been honored by Masquerade Dance as the Dance Educator of the Year and has received training from dance legends such as Rhee Gold and Julie Kay Stallcup. Mary is a firm believer that dance teaches more than technical ability, it inspires confidence, self-esteem, discipline, and individual expression. She looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm, positive attitude, and love of dance with students here at WDC!
